Is november 1st a holiday in the states?

There was a halloween party on the playground nearby today. They don't go trick or treating here (yet). But it was fun and all the kids were excited to stay up so late.
since Halloween is actually tomorrow i was wondering if november 1st is a holiday in america so the kids can have a ly in.

  • No, it's All Saints day, but no one is off from school for that.

  • No, but yesterday was a holiday for us. The kids have no school on Nevada Day.

  • Nope. If Halloween falls on a day before school the kids just have to suck it up and go to school the next day. Halloween on a Friday or Saturday is always a treat because you can stay up later and, therefore, eat more candy, lol. My kids will be in bed by 8:30pm tomorrow...9pm at the latest (normal bedtime is 8pm).
