  • I have read comic books with my boys when they were younger.

The best advice i was given by a teacher was "We don't care what they read, just so they read." This gave my oldest boy the freedom to read what he wanted.. He had a readind problem, but overcame it because I bought him comic books to read. The art work held his attention and helped tell the story. At 30 he still likes comic books as does his younger brother. Both are good readers now, because I encourged them both to read.
