I am making 3 bean soup for the first time tomorrow. What kind of meat should I add. I was thinking turkey. But anyone have suggestions or a good recipe.

  • I also use a ham bone, bits of ham and diced up bacon. You can use a pork bone too if you have one. I freeze them up after I cook a pork roast so I have them on hand for soup. I also add a can of diced tomatoes, and chop up some carrots, celery and onion and add it in.
