Wake him... or no?

My ds is 8 weeks old and exclusively Breastfed. He last ate at 5pm and usually eats every 2-3hrs. Lately he's been going longer though. its 9:30pm and he's still sleeping! I even picked him up and tried to see if he wanted to eat but he went back to sleep. Should I wake him up fully and feed him or let him sleep?

  • For breast milk supply's sake I would wake him, feed him and lay him back down.

  • i dont see a reason to wake him if you can pump....if you cant pump then just try to get him to the breast for couple minutes at least....if he wont, then dont worry, rest while you can!

  • I would never wake up a sleeping baby, sleep is just as good as milk, the only way I would wake up a baby would be if he/she was under weight.

  • well I pump when he doesnt wake up on time and then I still bf him, I've got a big supply, so thats not really an issue, I just dont want to deprive him.
