What time to start trick or treating?

this is the first year I am taking my son and I don't know what the normal time is lol I'm getting old because I don't remember when I went as a kid lol

  • You can look it up for your area because it's different everywhere. Your local news or online newspaper should have it. Here it's 3-6 and that's in SE Wisconsin. Some areas it does not even start until after 5.

  • ok okay. I'm in Detroit for the first time and didn't know you could look it up on the news (online). Seems like in most places 6pm is the average :)

  • Around here, it's usually 6. I've tried going out a little earlier to beat the crowds of older kids, but people don't really start handing out candy until 6, so there's not much point.
