'nother low carb baking question =D

Can I turn any recipe low carb? Like this amazing pumpkin cookie that I LOVE but it's full of flour and sugar. So can I use almond flour and splenda instead? or do recipes just not work like that?

  • Just keep the splenda away from the kids

  • You can use the baking splenda which I believe is a mixture of sugar and splenda. I don't know about the almond flour though. I usually add applesauce to my cookies to help cut down on the amount of sugar that I am adding. Got that trick from one of my grandmothers.

  • Blaine on Fit tv has a ton of recipes and he doesn't seem to use special splenda to bake. Maybe the answer to your question would be there. Good luck!

  • I just use regular splenda. Some recipes you can substitute the almond flopour and it works..some you just can't.. Here is a link.

  • Instead of low carb, you can choose healthy carbs like Whole Wheat flour, Rye Flour, oatmeal, etc.....

    Good Luck!

  • I figured it out finally! I found a low-carb baking mix recipe that I made and used it in place of flour. The cookies taste exactly the same and I am so thrilled.
