    The only ways to stop your menstrual cycle are: taking birth control pills continuously without a break, pregnancy, starvation, ovary removal, and menopause.

  • There's nothing you can really take over the counter. I've heard that getting the new birth control called the IUD (intrauterine device) can stop your period after awhile. There are two different kinds and they last from 5-10 years depending on the kind you choose.

  • there is medication to help relieve a heavy flow, but Ive never heard of anything over the counter that will stop it, or even slow it down

  • I have an iud and my period is so light. It is like two days with lite pads. But a dr. had to do it.
