  • No, what I do is alternate muscle groups so you don't end working the same muscle twice in a row, you need at leasrt a day for the muscles to recuperate, but I do take Sundays off..........

  • Yes, it's good to let your body rest. It helps to keep from injuring yourself and you see more results if you take a rest day every four days. Work out four days, take a break, work out four days (something different from the four days before), take a day off. I've seen such good results doing this.

  • I agree with older, it's good to work opposing muscle groups if you don't take a break. Or you can take a day of rest in between workouts. I don't necessarily rest between days of doing things like yoga, but I probably wouldn't do weight training every day.

  • I take one or two days off per week, normally. When I know I am coming up on a rest day, I will usually kick my own butt the day before--do extra long, hard cardio or weight lifting, plus a jog or something. I have really learned to listen to my body and know when it's okay to keep going, and when I really do need a day or two of rest.

  • I do but then I don't have a choice. My ankles are in horrible shape (very crunchy) from past injuries and if I over do it I pay for it.
