How long are you suppose to breastfeed on each breast? (typicaly)

I was thinking 15 min on each boob or 30 min on each boob?...Am lost.

  • I did 15 min on the first side and then switched to the next and let her go until she was done. Then I would switch sides to start on. (if I started on the left last time, I would start on the right the next) Later, it will be less time.

  • My baby only eats on one side at a time usually. That way he doesn't just get the foremilk. Let you baby finsh on one side until they act like there is nothing left then offer the otherside if they are still hungry.

  • You should nurse on the first side until the baby stops, then offer the other breast. It's fine if the baby does not take the second breast.

  • But what if 1 boob is huger than the boob he wants to take? like he only wants to take the left boob he don't want the right boob and its really full?!
