At what age should a child be allowed to attend a slumber party?

  • If I think the chances I'll get a call to pick up my kid at 10 p.m. or later are above 20%, then she's too young.

  • I really think it depends on teh child. There are kids that are ready at the age of 4 or 5, and some that are not ready into their teens. I think it depends on how confident the child is and also how well they know the people they are staying with and how comfortable they are. I am not a fan at all of EVER allowing my child to stay somewhere that we do not know the parents and children VERY well.

  • whenever you feel comfortable with letting her spent a night away. I would say 7 is a good age as well.

  • My daughter attended her very 1st sleepover @ the age of 5 . However I had to feel comfortable w/ the child's parents . Always was friends w/ the mom who was giving the party though .
