  • We eat together every day. Most of the time at the table, but now (Giants in playoffs, even though I couldn't care less) I wouldn't be able to drag my fiance away from the tv if I tried, so we watch and eat in the living room....

  • We eat together at the dining room table. Once in awhile, on a weekend , we may do the pizza and a movie thing. The main thing we are all together.

  • Rarely, and our dining room table is used as a storage unit.

We spent almost all of our time together -- so the idea that we 'needed' to eat at the same table to make 'family togetherness' was outside our real life. We weren't coming together after having a day of being spread across the city individually... so it was a contrivance that solved problems that didn't exist.

Today, with our kids as young adults all out working and having their own lives, the only time we sit around a table together is in restaurants.
