  • Mouse. Put some peanut butter on a trap and put it near where you have seen it. Should catch him quick. I would put a trap out for a day or two after catching him in case there are more.

  • A mouse? I bet there are droppings somewhere. Look under the kitchen sink.

  • Set a trap, all rodents love food!

  • It could still be a mouse. It might not have been there long enough for any droppings. Or maybe just not looking in the right spot. Setting out a mouse trap wouldn't hurt.

  • Vole, mole, mouse or shrew. Look for greasy marks or streaks along walls, rather than droppings. Get some rat poison, stir it into some peanut butter, put it on the lid of a yogurt container or something, and slide it under a heavy piece of furniture that's on the 'route' and too close to the ground for kids to get at the poison. Then, on another lid, put some water and slide it under, too. You'll have no more uninvited pets in a matter of days.

    They LOVE peanut butter.
