  • We've always had a real tree until 2 years ago when we finally bought an artificial prelit tree. As we have gotten older, it became harder and harder to go out and select a tree, then get it in the stand, and drag it into and out of the house. It was fun to do all that when the children were at home, but without them here to help, we decided to go an easier route. I do miss the smell of the fresh tree and the ritual of keeping it watered.
