i am going to have my son cercumsized and i wanted to know if i can use diaper rash ointment?

  • No, petroleum jelly when it is done they will also tell you and show you how to care for it.

  • are you gonig to get the little ring instead all the gauze and vasoline- i would reccomend that way better. but yeah i use diaper rash cream-if you get the one with the ring it falls off about the same time as the umblicin cord

  • No...do not put diaper rash cream on it. that will burn him up. use vasiline*how ever it's spelled rubb it on part that his penis will be on the diaper load it down no diaper rash cream though

  • when you get the ring on them your not supposed to do anything with it except put water over it when you give him a bath

  • They let us put A&D ointment on the diaper b/c they don't want you touching it the first few days. It healed very quickly.

  • I didn't put anything on it and he didn't seem to be uncomfortable either. they put the ring on it and it fell off before the umbilical cord did.
