Should I wake my babies up to go to a play group.

I have a 21 month old and 4 month old, both girls. I signed up to go to a playgroup this morning. It starts at 10 and it's 9:30 already but they are still asleep. They are sleeping so peacefully too. Should I wake them up?

  • No then you will have crabby babies. Just dress them when they get up and see if you can go late. If not skip it today and work on getn their schedule switched so you can go.

  • Honestly, I would let them sleep. A child's rest is more important then making it to a playgroup. Since it's a playgroup, the other moms have been through it I'm sure and will be understanding :)

  • If my kids (1 and 3) every slept passed 7 am I would let them sleep as long as they wanted! So no I wouldn't wake them =)

  • No, having less then 1/2 hour to wake, dress & get 2 tired babies in the car will not be an easy pleasurable task. Plus if they didn't eat, it will be worse. Let them sleep & have a relaxing day. I tried to sign up for the latest morning Toddler playtime at the Library for my Son so we didn't have to rush. It just makes them more cranky. When we go out, my Son needs to prepare himself by packing every stuffed toy he can into a shopping bag. Just to have in the car! So there is NO Rushing out in this house. LOL! Rest Momma!
