  • thanksgiving....people are actually being thankful for things instead of expecting to get gifts

  • xmas, by far! t-day is just a huge gorge-fest of starches, fats, and sugars...although enjoyable, its just a day. the family we 'get together with' is the same family we see on a regular 2-3x/month basis, and we are always thankful for all the blessings of life. its a hotmess in the kitchen, cleaning the house before and after.
xmas is more of a month-long celebration. there are so many things that occur before and up-to the xmas day celebration..with a few things afterwards, too. its easier to enjoy, you can take it at your own pace, its prettier IMO..just all-around a more pleasant holiday.
and that's in addition to the religious/spiritual side of it, which is awesome, too.

  • I love Christmas!!!....yes it can be and is stressful and expensive, I just love when the family gets together and we have fun and make memories. It's also a bit nostalgic for me, I love thinking back to when I was a kid and all the family getting together at grandma and grandpas house, all the traditions. I want to pass that down to my kids..even though times are different memories and traditions can go on.
