Worried about my 2yr old!

My two year old has been itching today, about an hour ago my husband took him to the hospital becuase he was breaking out all over, I am worried! Does this sound scary or common?

  • does he have allergies? did he play in any leaves? it sounds like an allergic reaction to something. i get like that if i take meds with codine in them or if i eat walnuts

  • No allergies that im aware of. I did use a new medication topical ointment

  • He had a chickenpox vaccine a while ago, they come and go on his face, arms , legs, back, stomach, everywhere!

  • Rashes are usually nothing to worry about. Usually can wait for a Dr. appointment instead of an ER visit. The exception being if you thing it could be an allergic reaction. Then you should always watch for swollen airway and difficulty breathing. Most spontaneous Rashes, unless its a specific pattern indicating a certain condition such as 5th disease (which is harmless and requires no treatment) or a specific allergic they can pinpoint, the cause is unknown. I'm sure he will be fine. Will probably just get some cream for it.

  • Thank god it was just allergic reaction, ufff, he is much better! they gave him benadryl
