  • Mainly talking, sometimes time out. Extreme is going straight home. Misbehavior when we are out.

  • depends on the problems, but I do use timeouts, corners (this one is new so we only used it one time and it seemed to work), sitting in their rooms, grounding (my 5.5 year old will get grounded from playing with her little neighbor friend and or grounded from riding her bike or tv and my 2.5 year old will get grounded from the tv), I also do spankings when needed.

  • We talk, time outs, grounded from the Wii, sit in room.etc. THe time out thing is not working anymore. He puts himself in time out.

  • with my son I take away legos which for him is the ultimate punishment, with my daughter I usually have to use a firm voice give a little swat on the bottom and leave her in her room until she calms down

  • Time outs and take away toys...we rarely ever have to swat bottoms.

  • My boys are older 12 & 16, I rarely have to punish them at this age (I might be a rarity but it hardly ever happens). I take away time with friends because that is what they want most their freedom. Most time its a simple conversation about what happened, again rare because my boys are pretty open with me and are pretty good at making good choices (or maybe they are just good at not getting caught. lol) .

  • Talking to them, then toys being taken away, then time out, then if need a spanking.

  • Talking, taking away toys/privileges. When the first two don't work, then we swat a bottom.
