My dd is having tubes placed in her ears and her tonsils and adenoids removed on Friday-
What other kinds of food would you recommend besides popsicles and jello?

  • All my son wanted was a smoothie. For the entire week after he had his tonsils and adenoids removed, he hardly ate anything...just didn't have an appetite prepared for that. I had bought two boxes of popsicles, jello and several other things and all he had was like two smoothies the second day. He didn't eat much of anything for six or seven days.

  • My older brother had them removed to help his congestion and stuff when he was younger. As he got older, I noticed that it didn't help at all. He still has the problems he had even before he had his tonsils removed.

  • I wouldn't give him anything with dairy. Dairy creates mucus.

  • My doctors allowed my daughter to have anything she felt she could eat. She DEMANDED rice krispies the morning after her surgery o.O Bananas are good, they're soft and full of vitamins :)
