Could someone please explain..

the appeal of Taylor Swift. I can hardly turn around and she's there! What makes her so friggin' special? I really don't get it!

  • Personally, I think she can't sing at all, and I find her personality a little TOO cutesy, but I guess at least she's not out there flashing her crotch and acting like a little hussy (ahem, Miley Cyrus). Not my cup of tea, but then again, none of the new little singers are. I mean, Justin Bieber? Really???

  • I like her because she seems to be a good role model and of strong moral character. She doesn't seem to be to be advancing on the sex appeal thing like everyone else her age. I don't like her music but I don't have a problem with the kids liking her.

  • I agree, she makes me gag. BORING!

  • I think its more marketing than appeal. She obviously has a good manager.

  • Lol, I don't get it either. Apparently most of the guys at my husband's office are gaga over her. He was joking about it the other day.

  • I dont know why she's quite SO huge, but i dont mind her music. I cant wait for her to grow up and sing about adult things though!

  • She's talented. She's cute. And she has the personality a lot of young girls can relate to. She's quirky, goofy, intelligent, and just really relatable. I personally get bored of her songs, because she does that talk sing voice in most of her songs. They all sounds the same and I am just kind of over it.

  • It's the headbanging and the floppy fat-roller curls she throws around without coordination, while singing about the boy who dumped her that's so appealing. Can't you tell?

  • I don't know, and I HATE that kind of music, but I will agree with bjojola--at least she seems like a halfway decent person. As the mom of 2 young girls, I would much, much rather my daughters look up to her than to Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, or any other racy artist. I'm actually crossing my fingers and hoping my girls will not like pop music at all, lol, and have a little bit loftier tastes, but if not Taylor Swift is a better role model IMO than most others.

  • That must be it! Thank you matobe! It MUST be the constant teenage whining about puppy love that has her on every magazine cover & radio station!
