How Early Can You See The Baby..?

How early can you see the baby (fetal pole) on an u/s? Internal or external? Thanks.

  • They did my first ultra sound at 10 weeks and it was an internal U/S. I put a picture in my photo album of her from then. I'm not positive but I think, you can see something even sooner.

  • I'd say roughly at about 7-9 weeks or so, even earlier and it would pretty much be a yolk sac.

  • Thanks ladies, I had an us and it said I was 5.5 weeks and all we saw was the yolk sac and the gestational sac so I'm freaking out. I've already had a blighted ovum before and 2 other miscarriages.

  • I saw a gestational sac at 5.5 weeks and then I got to see my growing baby at 7 weeks
