I am boiling chicken for chicken and dumplings....do I use the same water I am boiling with or do I dump it??

  • Use the same water. It has the chicken flavor in it. If you use fresh water it will taste flavorless.

  • As long as you cleaned the chicken pretty good before cooking then you can use the water. It's chicken broth!

  • yes...you do!! i even throw in chicken bouillion cubes to give it some flavor...if you dont do that, add salt and other spices like organo and parsley.

    Be sure to strain the water when you take the chicken out so there's "stuff" in it.

  • ok. i already bought some chicken broth too just didnt know if i needed the extra or not...never made it before
