Can I use a butt plug despite having hemorrhoids?

I don't have one, nor ever been to a sex shop. What are they? Soft, hard, vibrating? I think this is something I could enjoy, but am concerned about hemorrhoids. I have a slight problem, nothing dramatic yet. Could it get worse by using a butt plug?

  • I wouldn't put anything in there if it hurts (aside from the normal initial discomfort).
There are all kinds of anal toys (not just butt plugs). You can get them online:
These are two sites with a ton of selection.

  • Yikes.. I am not sure why you'd want to stick ANYTHING up there at this point. I've never had hemorrhoids but I hear it's very uncomfortable. My guess is that yes it could get worse, but I am no expert.. Good luck with that

  • It means there's (been ) a problem before, but I have no symptoms at the moment. I hear they don;t go away unless you have them removed. Luckily I'm FAR AWAY from that stage.
Of course I won't use it when I'm oncomfortable! Yikes indeed.

  • They make small soft rubber/silicone ones. And yes, you can use it. It may help a little. Use lube.

  • They make them soft and not much bigger than a finger. It is fine. Geeze...and to BlueSaphire..really? Was that even necessary?
