  • I would not be concerned that he had not gained any weight in 2 months. It is possible that he has gone through a period when his body is simply using all the calories that he is eating. This happens even with little babies. If it continues for several months, then you might have reason for concern.

  • It's normal for kids to stop gaining weight as quickly after they turn 1. One of mine weighed the same at 12 months and 18 months.

  • It's normal for him to just maintain his weight since he's more active now. My son weighed 27lbs at 12 months and at 15 he's still 27lbs and the doc isn't concerned.

  • Mt son has weighed the same 29.5 lbs for the past year. He has however gotten taller and is still in the 25% for weight. May daughter has weighed 17lbs for 5 months but has also gotten taller. It's funny how they grow but still weigh the same =)

  • It's normal that they might stay at the same weight and then have a growth spurt and gain a bunch. My son does the same thing... my son stayed at the same weight for 6 months before gaining 4 lbs!!

  • My weighed 34lbs for a year from 3 years-4 years. He just does not gain weight as often. He does get taller though. He grew 5 inches in one year. Already since May of this year he has grown 3inches.

  • That is normal. Their growth slows down dramatically, and it is more in height then anything. My nearly 3 yo hasn't gained but she has gotten taller.

  • Like said above me, it is normal at this age. They gain less between the age of 1 and 2.
