I went to the doctors monday they did an ultrasound they was a sac but no fetus yet is that normal

  • I am kind of confused....shouldn't the doctor have told you exactly what is going on and what is "normal"

  • Depends on how far along you're supposed to be.... If it's very early on, then yes, the sac develops first. If you're at a point where they SHOULD be able to see more, you might have a blighted ovum. What did they say?

  • How far along are you? My first ultrasound was at 5 1/2 weeks... and there was no fetus, just a sac. Now im 25 weeks, and thwere is deff a baby kickin in there lol

  • Yes, if youre not quite 7 weeks yet :) Good Luck. They should give you another US within 2 weeks of this one to be one the safe side.

  • Yes, in very early pregnancy it's just a yolk sac and nothing else. That's totally normal.

  • Nope. They can see the baby even if it is still just a ball of cells. If there's a sac and no baby then there's not going to be a baby.
