Anyone else dealing with signs of depression?

My fiance just deployed to Afghanistan last sunday :(

  • If you want to try to shake your blues with out seeing a specialist you should start running and excersing in general. It releases a hormone that helps keep you happy. Also, don't eat junk food- women in general are emotional eaters so instead of a cookie have a carrot.
    If you need to talk it out though, do so.

  • That's hard to deal with. Been there, done that several times over. Just keep yourself busy, exercise, eat right, and before you know it, he will be home! It's the first month or so that is rough.

  • Yes. My dh isn't on deployment though. Have you joined a support group for other military wives? I am sure they might have some advice on how to help you deal with it.
