  • i usually keep her home for 1 MAYBE 2 days....but..if i was to keep her home the WHOLE time she had a cold..she would be out for like 2 weeks!! lol. i personally would love her to be home...but she loves going to school (grade 1) if shes throwing up sick..i will keep her home as long as shes throwing up..and then 1 extra day..just to be sure

  • If they are not throwing up or running a fever they go to school. Now if they say they don't feel good and they don't look like they do I would probably let them stay home. Case by case basis.

  • If they are throwing up, have a fever, or are just plain not themselves then I keep them home; but if I kept him home every time he had a runny nose or a slight cough I might as well home school him because he'd miss more days then he would attend.

  • I am not sure what I would do my kids have not been sick yet. I would imagine that I would keep her home for even a runny nose just because she NEVER gets sick. Now if I had one that had an eternal runny nose then I might look differently at it.

  • If my kid was well enough to play, he'd be well enough to go to school, IMO.

  • Fever? Not at all. Stuffy nose, probably. If they have like a runny nose and sneeze a ton and coughing I would keep them home so they don't spread it.

  • Not for a cold. But a fever, migraine, asthma issues, diarreah, vomitting....YES.

  • If they don't have a fever, they go. Seriously, a "cold" can last up to a week. They can't afford to miss that much school over the sniffles, and I can't afford to miss that much work. If there's other things going on like a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc....then I would keep them home.
