What do your kids normally have for breakfast?

My daughter usually gets a bowl of generic cereal. Some mornings, she's really hungry and takes two packets of generic oatmeal.

  • Son favors cold cereal and Daughter likes to have her daily Fiber One bar for breakfast along with some hot cocoa. Some mornings Son will get inspired and make scrambled eggs for himself and his sister, the kid makes an awesome scrambled egg thanks to Alton Brown.

  • Theres nothing wrong with oatmeal. The kids can only eat what you buy right. Sometimes my kids will eat at school in the morning too. And sometimes I keep fresh fruit and they eat that.

  • Cereal, sometimes oatmeal or a poptart. They have the option of eating at school, so normally they just eat there.

  • Cereal (not the junk kind), oatmeal, or yogurt and fruit with a whole wheat bagel--those are usually hurried, school-morning breakfasts. Weekends we'll sometimes have pancakes or scrambled eggs w/ tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms.
My skinny little girls are really big eaters so skipping breakfast or throwing them a granola bar would never fly with them, lol.

  • Depends what we have in the house at the time. He usually has cereal, yogurt, toast or oatmeal. Sometimes, the night before, I'll make banana or blueberry muffins, he loves those! We also love to make smoothies with whatever fruit, yogurt and juice we have on hand, he says it's better than ice cream ha ha. When we're all home together, we'll sometimes make pancakes and bacon, omelettes, breakfast tortillas, cinnamon rolls, bagels and cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches.....special things like that.

  • It just depends on what they are in the mood for. Sometimes a bowl of cereal, yogurt, and banana. Other days we go the whole nine yards with pancakes, eggs, and toast. Neither one of my kiddos will eat oatmeal, I think it's a texture thing. Which sucks because I LOVE oatmeal! I still buy it for myself though =)
