  • With 3 kids we spend between 150.00 to 175.00 each. I also try to make it where they get to open the same amount if possible but they understand cause some things are more expensive. Plus I buy them pajamas that they open christmas eve to wear that night. Stocking stuffers are usually not included in the budget.

  • I buy one BIG gift and four or five smaller gifts. They also get a pair of jammies on Christmas Eve night.

  • I go by money. I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old. My 3 year old will get many more gifts this year because her gifts are much cheaper. My ten year old wants a Zune and some other 200 items so he will probably only get two gifts from us. He understands this...

  • We dont really have a set number of gifts or a set dollar amount. We just get him a few things that we think he'll enjoy. He got about 7-8 things last year, including from grandparents.

  • I only have 1 kid, and he's only 2, but last year and the year before I spent around $150-$200 on him. The first year that added up to like, 10-15 presents, because they were all smaller "baby" toys, but since he was able to get "big kid" toys last year and this year it's probably only going to be maybe 5 things. I plan on spending around the same amount.

  • The Christmas budget has been scaled back this year since their father passed away, but each of the 6 will get one special "big" gift and a few smaller ones. I also like to give them things to share, like board games. I try to put more emphasis on the decorating, activities and meaning of Christmas than on a number of toys or a monetary amount.

  • We only have one child, 4.5 years old. We have spent roughly 150 so far. That equals about 10 gifts. I have 2 more gifts to get him and stocking stuffers.
