do they still make those jeans with the double knees?

"I have a very active 10 yr old that comes almost daily with a knee blow out. I have tried numerous jeans,Levis, Arizona, lands ends. Gap. they all rip after about 3 months with him. Can anyone recommend a nice strong brand. I know when my brothers were little my mom would buy Tough Skins from Sears, but not sure if they still make em.

  • I believe Sears still makes them. I would try online because the local stores didn't have them in my area. Tough skins are fantastic! I happened across them at a secondhand store and they went through two of my boys and still held up. Who knows how much wear they got before I came across them.

  • I have not seen tough skins in years but you might try iron on patches before your boys wear the jeans. Wash the jeans turn them inside out and iron the patch on. You can buy the patches at Walmart in the sewing isle.
