  • Uh.....Go to the doctor and get a test. If you don't have insurance wait a week or so, take it again. I'm guessing you're late?

  • Happened to me too. Was it the digital kind? I took both kinds. Try First Response digital. Also take it with your first morning urine bc your hormone level is at it's highest then. If you are really early some tests are not as sensitive, use the early detection tests like first response and know that a false positive is VERY RARE, while a false negative is common because your hormone levels change throughout the day. :)

  • Ok, let me see if I have this right.. You took ONE test and it said negative but the next day the SAME test said positive? Is that's correct, you can not read a pregnancy test after the time allotted. What you saw was the evaporation line. Not a positive result... Wait a week and retest, read the test in the time it says and then throw it away.

  • The same test that said negative now says positive? Is that correct?

After about 5 mins, a pregnancy test should not be read. Evaporation lines can appear.. and make you think you received a positive.

Retest tomorrow morning with a digital pregnancy test for the best result.

  • If i'm reading your question correctly, it sounds like an evaporation line which does not count as a positive. Pregnancy tests results are usually best read according to the directions on the box. Any later than that and the infamous evap line can show up getting poor TTC mother's hopes up.

  • Sounds like you didn't have enough HCG to make the first test positive. After another 24 hours, your urine had enough HCG to show positive on the test.

I'd bet you are pregnant and caught the interim period where a test shows positive/negative.

  • Go to your OBGYN office and have a test done. They can also do a blood HCG (requires a poke, but no biggie)
