Is it possible to have a civil, mature debate without name-calling and insults?

You know who you are.

  • We can all wish for it but we all know it's not going to happen

  • We know who you are as well ;)

I happen to think that most debates on here are pretty good- I just look past the name calling, some seem to enjoy it- its part of the experience for them. Both sides are equally guilty as are those that call people out for it. Maybe I just like to look on the bright side, but even when I have to skip over some of the crap- I can still find some good points on nearly every post.

  • I think it's possible for some people. For others, no.

  • Debate is civil. An argument is aggressive with name calling.
    There's a difference.
