Anyone else been screwed over by Bank of America?

These greedy, unethical crooks took billions of our tax dollars, w/ a zero percent interest rate on their "loan". Then they turn around & double interest rates on its customers in good standing. Harworking people who were never late on payments. We finally paid off our balance showing on our statement, only to be charged additional hidden interest. How can you charge interest on Zero?! These greedy banks should've never gotten a dime of the bailout & need to be brought up on ethics charges!

  • I don't use them. I have heard of others who feel like you do though.

  • My husband had a BOA card before he and I were together and after we were married I found out that he wasnt very good at finances (he reminds me of that free credit commercial "i married my dream girl, i married my dream girl but she didnt tell me her credit was bad" Anyway BOA was one of the most difficult places other than CHASE card services that I have ever delt with in my life. I was so happy the day that we finally paid it off!

  • I hate BoA. I agree they are a very unethical company. I was very disappointed when they bought out Countrywide, who our mortgage was originally with. We refinanced as soon as we could to get out of having any type of account with BoA.

  • I've always been with BofA, and can honestly say I have NEVER had a problem with them... Lucky, I guess.

  • My hubby just closed his account there. He hated BoA.

  • Yes I used to have an account there and they constantly messed it up, they were rude and I got sick of them really fast. I've had friends that had the same experience also.

  • Go with a credit union instead, they aren't greedy bastards

  • They tried to foreclose on our friends for nonpayment. Well, of course they weren't paying because they didn't have a loan with BoA.

We used to have an account with them until they turned us down for a home loan and royally screwed up our account. We went to a smaller, local bank and have had no issues with them at all.

  • My hubby had an account there. They made a transfer from his savings account to his checking account that he did not authorize. He closed the account and 6 months later they sent him a letter saying he owed over $300 in late fees after the account was closed. It was horrible.

  • All banks are the same, we'd all be better off putting our money in coffee cans buried in the backyard. Credit cards and loans are a joke, and it's sad that individuals are made to suffer while corporations make out just fine and dandy. BoA is particularly bad though, I hear.
