Are you aware Islam does recognize Jesus?

He is recognized as a prophet, not the sone of God.

  • Yes, I knew. And I think he's recognized in the Baha'i faith as well. In Judaism, I think he's typically viewed a false prophet (i.e. a prophet but not the messiah).

    Islam as well as : Hindusim, Sikhism, Buddhism, Judiasm and others..... Do recognize and revere the Christ as a prophet/avatar of God.

  • Yes, but as a Christan I am also aware that Jesus is much more than just a prophet. He is recognized in many religions, just not in the same aspect.

  • Yes, that is correct. They recognize Him as a great prophet, and they recognize Mary as a holy woman given a high honor by God. They also believe in the virgin birth. Christians recognize Jesus as more than a prophet - we believe He is the Son of God. Just a side note - Muslims respect Jesus, even though they don't believe He is divine. They do not say the disrespectful things about Him that some others say on a regular basis.

  • Yes I am well aware...yet that still doesnt change anything. They still do not believe HIM to be the Son of God. That is the key right there.
