Preggy Myths- Is it true that most m/c happen at 8 weeks?

Today im exactly 8 weeks. Went in saw doctor and the baby looked great with a 125 heart rate at 6 n half weeks. My friend told me that most miscarriages happen at 8 weeks.... is this true??? Im hearing all these crazy storys, and i was told id never have kids.. so im just making sure.

  • I've never heard that and I had two miscarriages. One at 10 weeks and one at 11 weeks, although both babies hearts never started, which usually does around 6 weeks.

  • well if you're going to miscarry it could happen at any point of your pregnancy.. i lost a baby at around 6 weeks, my sil lost one at 22 weeks....it just depends on your body GL i hope you don't lose your lo

  • I'm sorry that your friend's misinformation has caused some anxiety for you. She was only partially correct. Most miscarriages happen before 12 weeks, but your baby seems strong and healthy. Relax, eat right, take your vitamins, and enjoy being so beautiful during your pregnancy. Enjoy it, because you'll never be pampered like this again once that baby gets here!!! Good luck.

  • I've had 3... ONe at 5 weeks, 2nd one at 9 weeks never saw a baby form or anything, 3rd at 12w4d and baby had a heartbeat at 6w6d the heart stopped at 9w5d.
