  • I didn't. I'd restore the covers from time to time, but my overheated little furnaces always wriggled free. If they were cold, I'm sure they would have let me know if they were uncomfortable.

  • Forget the blanket, and layer them up. Onesie, socks, then a thick footed blanket sleeper. Target has really nice footed blanket sleepers for 2 for $14 or on sale (like every other week) 2 for $12. by far the cheapest place I have found them

  • i didn't. i dressed him in the footed sleepers, and made sure the room temperature was ok. sometimes the sleeper was a heavier material, if it was really cold outside and i thought the heater might need some 'help'. i never used a blanket when he was a baby.

  • I used footie PJ's too.

When my son was in the hospital.......they had him all wrapped up like a little papoose! SO cute all swaddled up. I couldn't keep my son so restricted and confined, so that's when he got alot of footie PJ's. He was fine.

  • Oh... get the Just One Year sleepers - NOT the Gerber brand.  The Gerber ones get scratchy after a couple of washings.  :P

  • That's what "blanket sleepers" are for....warm, long-sleeved, long-legged "footie" pajamas!
