Can You Be Both Spiritual and Religious?

There seems to be alot of strong opinions out there on both sides of the fence. Am I the only one that is deeply spiritual with a strong faith but believes in the Christian Religion and the Word of God?

  • They aren't mutually exclusive, but some people like to make themselves feel better about themselves by presenting them as if they are.

  • Christianity was never meant to be about being religious. It was meant to be relational.. all about relationship. That is why we were created... for LOVE to love one another as He loved us.
I do not consider myself religious or spiritual. I consider myself a daughter, a child of God building a relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • Yes you can be both. To me religious is the gathering of people in the name of God. Spiritual is your individual walk with God. Both can be important.
