Is there a such thing as TOO MANY Braxton Hicks??

I am only 20 weeks pregnant with twins (my 3rd pregnancy over all). and I have been feeling little braxton hicks from very early on, about 9 weeks. But just yesterday after I started getting them REALLY OFTEN. Like maybe atleast 3 times in an hour. They don't hurt, but can definitely tell when i'm having one whether I am active or just lounging on the couch. I know getting these are your body's way for preparing you for labor and all that jazz, but at 20 weeks I don't want to be preparing for anything yet!! lol Never had this problem with my two singletons.

  • i got them ALOT with my 3rd too! but they would go away when i sat down, or taper off anyway. you really need to start counting if you're having them while just relaxing on the couch. but yea, i think we might get them more frequently with subsequent pregnancies. atleast that was the case for me. i would have them everyday with my 3rd! we're also more active because we have the other two kids to take care of. lots of activity can bring them on.

  • They are small, (usually) painless uterine contractions that can happen throughout the pregnancy. I've had them plenty with my previous pregnancies, but never this often until I hit the very end of my pregnancy. Heres a link if you want to read up more on them
