What apple recipes do you have that are really good?

I've got plenty of apples that need used. Anyone have any recipes for good apple desserts that you don't mind sharing?

  • http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Apple-Pumpkin-Muffins/Detail.aspx Instead of baking it in muffin tins, spread it in a greased cake pan. Serve with cool whip or whipped cream, or ice cream. Sooooo good - I made a very full 9x13 for dinner with the IL's and it was a huge hit! I used extra apples too.

  • applesauce is really simple to make. peel, core and slice the apples and boil them in water with a dash of cinnamon. once they're mushy, drain the water, mash them up and add sugar and cinnamon to your liking. my mom adds lemonjuice to hers, pretty tasty!

my apple pie is pretty easy too. i buy the premade pie shells that come with two in them. peel core and slice them again. add them inside one of the crusts. add sugar, cinnamon and i put butter on top also. btw oven should be preheated at this point too lol, 350 degrees. then lay the other crust on top and either by using a fork or your fingers squeeze the edges together. make slits around the top and a big hole smack dab in the middle of the top. bake until the filling starts oozing out. your house will smell soo delish!!

  • Okay, if you're going to make applesauce, do NOT boil the apples in water & drain - you lose all the flavor! Peel and core your apples, add a small amount of water (like an inch), and basically steam them - mash the water right in. You only need a little bit, and it's still nice & thick. You're going to have pretty blah, tasteless sauce if you boil & drain - shoot, if you're going to do that, at least keep the "water" and make jelly out of it!
