What activities do you do with your toddler/preschooler when it is too cold to go outside?

I live in Indiana, and am originally from Texas. I was just wanting some ideas of what to do with my 2 children ages 3 and 5 for the upcoming snowy winter months.

  • same ages as mine...i hate winter time and dread it coming...we build forts, color a lot, play games, read books, I let them play computer games, we rent movies, they like to help me bake stuff, and I load up on craft stuff.

  • When my kids were toddlers they loved to throw a blanket over a chair or table and play in their fort. Coloring and then stacking cardboard boxes was also fun.
