  • You know... I really, really wanted to like fried turkey but both times I had it, it was way too salty. :P We bake and use reynolds bags. I also buy 2 - 12lb turkeys instead of 1 -24lb turkey. Its almost impossible to produce moist breast meat on a large turkey because the dark meat needs to go to a higher temp than the breast meat to be done, so the extra time in the oven for the larger bird really dries it out.

  • Bake. I use the Reynold's cooking bags. Less mess and easier clean-up.

  • I soak it in a brine overnight and then bake. It seriously is the best turkey I have eaten. I love deep fried if it's cooked right.

  • I also brine mine and bake it. The brine really brings out the flavor. But I've had deep fried turkey at my uncle's house and it is delicious. We don't have a turkey fryer tho.
