  • A "Cult" typically refers to a cohesive social group devoted to beliefs or practices that the surrounding population considers to be outside the mainstream.

Early one 1st and 2nd Century Christianity was consider to be an "cult" by the Romans (the surrounding population) because it was outside of the mainstream.

What make Christianity different today is that for the most part it IS a part of the mainstream....most people are Christians....

  • This is just TOO controversial of a topic. From what I have seen on the news.....cults are the people who all drink poision kool-aid, and wait for the space ship behind a comet to get them. or burn themselves to death (Waco Tx). Christians, tend to be less trouble causing. Though Warren Jeff's is a "christian" he is not mainstream Christian. SAHMinIL is correct. Religion no matter what name you call it by, muslim, hindu, christian, cult or islam is ALL a personal choice to each individual person

  • there is proof of the christian God -that he is real, the spiritual proof is in the Holy Bible, The scientific truth and proof is that scientist have found the Nehamiah Wall, and parts of Noah's ark- so that means the Bible is true as some may believe, so thats why everybody on this Earth was given free will to do and believe as we choose,

  • There is not a lot of difference, actually. There are many sects of christianity and some encourage more overt cult-like mentalities and practices. Some are of a sublter shade. I was involved with some and now that I'm out, hindsight is 20/20. When your are "in", you never see it. Who has ever said, "Yeah, I'm involved in a cult?" LOL

True everybody on Mother Earth does have Free Will,And they have the right to worship as they please whether anyone else believes in that religion. First of off the word " Cult" has different meanings to different people, Just like the " Bible" has different meanings to different people. I think people should just stop hating because of religous beliefs and start loving each other, no matter the beliefs, then maybe Mother Earth might be able to have a little bit of peace ....
