How much does a receptionist make per hour on average?

A local cemetrey is hiring for a receptionist position. I was just wondering how much these jobs normally pay per hour.

  • Depends on the are and company. I have seen anywhere from minimum wage ($7.25/hr) to well over $12/hr. I live in SE Wisconsin.

  • Im going to add that I live right outside of San Francisco and San Francisco has a higher cost of living so people get paid more in general. Probably not my states average.

  • Minimum wage to a little over minimum wage. It really depends on where you live and what the standard of living scale is for the area.

  • It really depends on where you live, big city, small town, the cost of living there, ect. Here a receptionist can expect to make about $7.30-$9/hour tops.
