  • Like genesis29 I'm also a first time mom so its so hard for my princess to be gone even an hr with her grandma without me wanting to go back and pick her up!

  • My kids are 3 and 5, I can leave them w/grandma for a weekend, I worry, but I am not ready to pick them up until it is time.

  • My boys are 4 and 6 and have been visiting their grandparents in another state for the last 3 weeks. I have another 4 weeks until they're coming back home, and I miss them like crazy. (They're staying so long because my mom wanted to be able to have them for both Halloween and Thanksgiving this year.) I call them everyday. They are having such a great time, and aren't home-sick at all.

  • when he was a baby I always felt guilty for leaving him and always wanted to go get him immediatly, but now that he is older, 4, Im pretty much ok with him being at a babysitters for a few hours while I go out.

  • I don't know that I'm not ever thinking about him. Even if he's not with me, I'm usually talking about him, shopping for him, planning on doing something with him, for him. Etc, it's pretty rare that I just think about me or me & my SO. I almost got through a trip to Dorney park without thinking of him...but, my 12 y/o nephew was there & I was thinking "man when bubba's 12 he can go on these coasters with me!"

  • A lot. I think that's pretty common......I even think of my oldest daughter and grandchild every day and they live far away! :) It does get better as they get older, though....
