Savory filling for cream puffs? Breakfast ideas?

I am looking to make a bunch of cream puffs for fast and easy breakfasts. I would like to freeze them and pull them out the night before so they are ready to eat quickly.

I have heard of savory fillings, but can't seen to find any good recipes. I am thinking of some kind of egg, ham and cheese filling, but am not sure how to put it together so it taste nice.

Any ideas? Or recipes?

  • I would NOT stuff and freeze. Freeze plain. Fill with that misture I would call it a "Scromlet." Creamed chicken ala king is a classic filling too.

  • Scramble eggs with the ham & cheese in it? I've never heard of cream puffs for breakfast, but I've done that kind of filling for breakfast burritos, english muffins, and croissants.
