What size crock pot is best for cooking a cut-up chicken?

  • The five quart would do, but I like the 6 quart crock pot the best.

  • I don't think it really matters, I've done it in a 2qt, a 5qt, a 6qt, and an 8qt before, and it came out the same - it only slightly affects the time - the bigger it is, the more spread out the meat is, the faster it cooks - but not THAT much.

  • I have a 5 qt crock pot that I use for all my cooking. So that should be big enough.
