Watch carbs, as PP had said. Also, keep an eye on the 'hidden' sugars. A banana has a lot of sugar, do not eat a whole one in a single sitting. One banana is actually 2 servings. Make sure you know what veggies are actually carbs. Peas and corn are actually carbs, be careful when eating those. Sometimes milk can spike your sugars. Just test your blood regulary, chart what you eat and take note of how what you eat affects your blood sugars. If you note that it is higher than normal, you know what you may need to limit in the future. I had GD with both of my pregnancies. Neither one was over 7 lbs.
