  • Jesus is THE son of God. Not a son. God created Jesus and manifested him in the flesh on earth. For God soo loved the earth, that he gave his only begotton Son Jesus, so that all who believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

  • As vbruno stated Jesus is THE Son of God.

Although Jesus is begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father... (taken from the Nicene Creed)

Jesus is the Son of God; But he is also God. That comes from our believe in the Trinity.

  • Jesus was born from the VIRGIN Mary-she became pregnant by GOD through the Holy Spirit-she fulfilled countless prophecies from the Old Testament by doing this. She birthed the Son of God, His one and only Son.

  • Jesus is the human form of God the Father while the Holy Spirit is the third part of the trinity we Christians believe in. All for one, one for all. Oh wait, that's the 3 Musketeers!

  • In Mary, the Holy Spirit fulfills the plan of the Father's loving goodness. Through the Holy Spirit, the Virgin (Mary) conceives and gives birth to the Son of God. By the Holy Spirit's power and her faith, her virginity became uniquely fruitful.

In other-words God (the Holy Spirit) overshadow Mary and she became pregnant by the power of God without loosing her virginity. It is my understanding that this is a tenet of Islam too...That Mary miraculously conceived Jesus while remaining a virgin....

  • Of course it's a mircle that Adam was made from nothing, heck this whole world was made from nothing and that is amazing.

Why is Jesus THE Son of God....  Here are some key verses from the Bible (in blue):
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Note: John 1:1 states that the Word was God

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us

Jesus is the Word became flesh. Also from the Bible:

Luke 1:35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called THE Son of God.
