How Does Your Preschooler Act?

My son has developed the worse attitude ever. He chooses not to listen alot.

  • They listen or they know they will be in big trouble. I expect them to act properly while we are out and to respect us.

  • Im lucky, I have the most compliant 3 year old in the world. He knows when mommy means business. BUT. Sometimes he does cop an attitude. You just have to make sure they know your the mommy and they are the child.

  • When my son was that age, he was very very active. Not the best listener, but not belligerent, he was just so excited all the time and sometimes had a hard time focusing. I think it is pretty normal at that age.

  • Consistency. We tell him what the rules are and how we want him to act, especially in public. The beginning we had to leave stores b/c he acted out. After 3x leaving the store, the point was made! lol

  • My daughter thinks shes 16 she can get some major attitude, it makes me laugh sometimes at how she acts like she is grown, i'm hoping its a phase.
