I was there yesterday & bought about $30.00 worth of stuff for my daughter to open on xmas. Although, things are not a dollar there! its great to get alot of things at a cheaper price & then have her open her real big exciting gift at the end. Do you do the same? I love to wrap up alot of things for her to open & its more just more affordable.

  • I buy a few smaller items there, and almost all of my stocking stuffers. I also goto Dollar tree and my DD picks out a few things she can paint or color or make to hand out to my mom and my grandfather, and maybe a few others. For my moms birthday she painted a wooden birdhouse, she did painted a few picture frames last year and we put her school pictures in, she loved it.

  • ooo.. I never thought of the dollar store. When they are young they just like gifts, they arent picky at all just greatful. I have only been shopping toys r us online. When my husband gets home it will be so much easier. So he can watch the kids and I can GO shopping lol

  • No I have three kids and I am getting three presents this year. Oh well. I am against more junk in my house. So it is not happening. Any how I pay for two college tuition's so they get one freaking huge present their education.

  • You should keep it dollare (pronounced doll-air) - we call Target (pronounced tar-zhay). Good idea for the kiddees.

  • I love Target I wish we had one in Canada!
Well, I don't want a whole bunch of junk toys in my house either so I was pretty selective on what I bought & what she would be actually excited to play with & most importantly safe toys as some of it is just garbage & too cheaply made.
